We have all been waiting for Chevy's new compact car and here it is. The all new Chevrolet Cruze. It is has two available power plants. First off is the 1.4L turbo engine. That provides the fuel economy of a smaller-displacement engine with the power of a larger displacement. With 138HP and 148 FT-LBS of torque for segment leading fuel economy at 40mpg highway!Second is the 1.8L DOHC I4. This configuration is standard and only availible on the LS model with an estimated 136 HP and 123 FT-LBS of torque.
We have 3 transmissions availible on the new Cruze. A 6-speed overdrive with manual(Standard on LS), a 6 speed manual with triple overdrive eco gear set (only available on the ECO model), a 6 speed automatic (Standard on LT and LTZ; available on LS and ECO). As far as gadgets go it will be equipped for ipod and Zune by use of a built in USB port. XM Radio is standard on all models for a crisp clean sound and a factory Pioneer Stereo is available on LTZ models.
For segment leading safety GM has equipped this vehicle with standard; 10 airbags, ABS, StabiliTrak control system, Traction control system, Tire pressure monitoring system, and Auto-on headlamps!
